We ordered starters and mains, first our mains came out and the chorizo was burnt - macaroni wasn’t very warm (the fries were good though) Our starters then came out 15/20 minutes later which again were Luke was and very dry even with the sauce I actually left more than half of it
Mac n cheese not up to standard we are used to at Sloans. Bland and a bit runny, which is a shame as we'd been looking forward to it for a while!
Groupon deal was fab and the portion size was as usual so they didn’t reduce amount of food would defo buy again
My 11 year old son and I cane for the Mac and cheese voucher offer. We both loved it!
Very accommodating and friendly, with great service and value for money.
I booked a table for 4 for hogmany lunch. We all travelled in to Glasgow only to be told on arrival that the boiler was broken and there was no food available. Very disappointed after travelling in to town specifically for lunch. Particularly disappointed that despite having a confirmed booking and having provided my contact details that no member of staff got in touch to advise us that lunch was cancelled. Very disappointing poor service. Zero stars for food and service as there was none!
Lovely food and atmosphere
Tan pronto llegamos nos facomodaron en la mesa reservada. La camarera q nos atendió fue muy amable, rápida y eficaz. El pastel de carne delicioso.
The service took far too long, it was nearly 45mins from order to being served our meal (we were starting to wonder if they’d forgot us). Out table was entirely inappropriate with a wooden shelf jutting out at their head height for those sitting closest to the wall. We decided not to come back in the future.
Food and service good. Arrived an hour before booking and they were able to accommodate us anyway!
Not sure why I have taken so long to revisit this place. Good food at reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere.
Great choice of food, especially the freshly made fish pie. The Staff are very efficient with excellent service despite a full restaurant.
Initally service was a little slow but they did offer a complimentary drink & the waitress was very attentive
The (quite expensive) festive cocktail was small, tepid and not very nice at all. Don’t waste your money on them. My friend was served the ox cheek chilli when she had ordered the vegetarian sweet potato version. We were asked to give our table back after an hour and a half to accommodate a larger party who were coming in, the staff supplied us with another smaller table to move to but since we were all out in the cold for 20 minutes of our 90 minutes for a fire alarm , then had to move everything when we cam back in, unfortunately it wasn’t a very relaxing meal at all.
Our work Christmas drinks were so much fun and everyone had a great time. The staff were amazing.
We had our work Christmas get together here, we chose from the bistro, the food was lovely, staff were very attentive, prices were reasonable. It was a nice place to have lunch, lovely fairy lights everywhere. We would all go back.
Went here for drinks with work for Christmas after a meal and got a great wee booth in the corner. Lovely wee pub and good mixture of ages. Quiz was on which was good fun to join in. Definitely come back again.
My friends and I both ordered the macaroni, we added smoked haddock. It was one of the best macaronis I have ever had. I will definitely be back soon and probably have the macaroni again. The atmosphere, service and it was great value for money, what else do you need.
Lovely food and lovely staff. Can’t wait to come back.
Really enjoyed our experience, staff were accommodating and helped us find a bigger table to seat everyone together. One starter got missed, but completely understandable when you are serving 17 people! The atmosphere was lovely, including some music and our waitresses were really nice. All in all I would go back there again when we are next in Glasgow :)
Great pub. Food, drinks and service all top quality.
Great evening. Thanks.
Although it is located in the shopping area, Sloans has remained a wonderfully traditional pub, inlcuding a folk music jam session every Wednesday. Great pub food at reasonable rates.
A disaster from start to finish. We were seated next to a cold window and asked to move, only to be told be a surly waitress that we COULD move but " it will probably be cold in there too!". Staff had their own clothes on [not even an apron]. Ours had a heavy high necked jumper on [probably because it was cold?!] and looked very unprofessional. Food was very disappointing and overpriced. My friend's fish pie was mostly potato and sauce, with very little fish. My " homemade " cheese burger was tiny and burnt to a crisp. I asked for salad instead of chips, and it was basically shredded lettuce.....no tomato....nothing. I asked for a White and McKay with a bottle of still water. I was given an Irish whiskey with a small jug of tap water. My friend asked fro a gin and slimline tonic, as was given normal tonic. They couldn't even get our drinks order correct. Poor food. Dour staff. Will not be back.
