Liverpool is the city of dreams when it comes to finding cocktails bars; some are within walking distance from the shops, whilst others are hidden away in secret lofts and basements. But whether you’re after a post-work Old Fashioned or a Saturday night Pornstar Martini, I’ve researched five of the best cocktail bars in Liverpool, leaving you more time to get the round in:
As well as offering a Rodizio of pizza, Santa Maluco is famous for its unconventional cocktail menu, born from its independent little sister, Santa Chupitos. Here you’ll be encouraged to ditch the aged Cosmopolitan and try something a bit more impressive from their constantly changing cocktail menu – including the renowned $5 Shake.
The Vincent Cafe & Cocktail Bar
If you’re looking for an evening of classy cocktails and catch-ups with the girls, you can’t go wrong with the Vincent. They’re experts in all the traditional mixes, with a few delicious wild cards thrown in for good measure – and if that’s not enough, they also have a new ‘cocktail of the week’, every week, for just £5!
Thaikhun Street Bar
Thaikun has a huge choice of authentic, Thai-inspired cocktails to wet your taste buds, but it’s their incredible selection of frozen and ice-cream cocktails that earns them a place on this list. From pornstar martini-inspired alcoholic slush puppies, to oreo-infused mint Baileys, Thaikhun is one of those places where you need to settle in and work your way through the menu.
La Finca Eivissa
The Balearic-inspired cocktail menu at La Finca Eivissa brings a real taste of Ibiza to Liverpool. As well as all of the usual suspects, they pride themselves on their extensive espresso martini menu; including everything from the classic espresso martini, to a to-die-for Kinder Bueno espresso martini. Just hook it up to my veins.
Red Dog Saloon
Last but certainly not least, Red Dog Saloon is a true testament to the spirit of the deep South. You might book for the authentic, all American feast, but you’ll stay for the cocktails. With concoctions such as lychee martinis and Rob Roys on the menu, not to mention the fact that it’s 2 for £10 all day every day, you’ll have no choice but to stay for the night.
